Year 6 Transition
Moving up to secondary school can be very scary and worrying for some students, but here at Toynbee we work hard to make it as easy and happy as possible. Our aim is for all of Year 6 to make a successful transition into secondary school life, and to become part of the school community where they can achieve their full potential and make excellent academic progress.
A message to our new year 7 pupils 2021
This year is particularly unsettling for all students, but especially for you, our Year 6 children, who are moving to Toynbee in September. We know that your own schooling and learning has been disrupted and that some of the activities we would normally do to introduce you to what your life will be like at Toynbee have not taken place. We are looking forward to meeting you when we visit your junior school during the Summer term. We hope to be able to answer all of your questions about secondary school and tell you about our exciting plans for the new year 7 at Toynbee. WE CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YOU!
A message to our new Parents 2021
Our key priority is to ensure that your child makes the transition from Primary to Secondary school with maximum enjoyment and minimum anxieties, especially during these unprecedented times. Therefore, your communication with us, and vice versa, is really important, and we encourage and welcome you to get in touch with us to clarify any concerns that you may have so that we can answer your questions and provide you with reassurance.
We are working very closely with the Primary and Junior schools to get both essential and helpful information to support your child through this transition period.
