Department Vision

  • Strong presence of art work around the school, that is high quality and is aspirational.

  • High expectations for both quality of outcomes and quality of sketchbook work.

  • To develop independent learners who are inquisitive, imaginative, creative and self-motivated.

  • Pupils are passionate about the subject and are dedicated.

  • Pupils are aware and know of the hundreds of different jobs available as a career in the creative arts.

  • Whether pupils see art as future career or not they understand why art is important subject to be taught in schools and understands its importance and its impact on society.
